3) Nickleback
This week's On the Media has a charming interview with Cyndi Lauper. I didn't know she was SO awesome. I think I might have to run out and get her book.
Anyway, the host played a minute if her duet with Patti Labelle on "Time After Time" and I got goosebumps. I have to track it down because their harmonizing was much better than I ever expected with Labelle doing her syncopation thing.
One of my mother's former students is in Kinky Boots on Broadway. It's pretty cool watching her post pictures of herself and her mom and Cyndi Lauper on FB.
Shouldn’t Mark E. Smith be Plastic Man?
He only wrote Plastic Man.
Ray Manzarek has died. He was 74.
Maxwell's is closing.
I'm pretty wrecked about this.
