"Puttin' on the Ritz" -- Maybe the Clark Gable version from Idiot's Delight? I don't have a copy, but it comes with its own video....

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
I found alternates for both of them. I went with a later Astaire re-recording for Ritz. I may actually have an Ella for Let's Do It. I don't recall with certainty. I'm fairly sure the Gable uses the original lyric, and I'm not putting a song that refers to "high browns" on a mix that I'm sending out into the wilds of older people with Alzheimer's.
Yet none of them are as nerdy as Man or Astro-man? covering the MST3K theme.
That song is pretty. Isn't the official name "Love Song from MST3K" or something like that?
Yep.
Ah, okay, Debet. I'd forgotten that lyric.
Yea, I was almost done with transcribing the lyrics, with a few blanks for "what did he say?" And then we got to the second time through the lyrics, with the different rhythm, and I said, "Tell me he didn't just say that."
I want a remix of "Rat-a-tat-tat" by FOB without Courtney Love's vocals. It's not that they're horrible, it's just I would like the song better without the ingrained "Oh dear G-d not her" reaction.
And it's such a good song!
The one with Elton John still freaks me out. It's ... Elton John! And Patrick Stump!
