"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So I'm going through my Rolling Stones albums to see what good stuff I'm still missing.

Something I've been doing lately, reacquainting myself with earlier Stones albums instead of just their singles.

I really like most everything on Between the Buttons but particularly "My Obsession" and "Complicated." But also "Miss Amanda Jones" and "Back Street Girl."

Amoeba Music Digitizes, Sells Rare and Out-of-Print Records on Revamped Website, holds profits in an escrow account if rights-owners come forward.

So basically what happens on music blogs but for profit and the slight chance that somebody will turn up to collect the dosh.

Because books.

"Memory Motel" is one of my all-time favorite Stones' songs. Was it ever a hit for them?

Nope.

(Song is rumored to be about Carly Simon, btw.)

Because books.

I've always loved it, and I don't think I ever even owned Black and Blue. Or maybe I did on a cheap cassette, since I had a double tape deck.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We saw them on tour in the Fall. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Now I wish I had gone to see them.

I miss their original drummer Will Rigby.

Does anybody have the Cowboy Junkies' cover of Springsteen's "State Trooper" (from Whites Off Earth Now)?

I ripped a copy off YouTube but it's got a glitch.
