I know who pitched Danzig, Daft Punk, The Fall (This Nation's Saving Grace), and Deerhoof. And I'm pleased that some wag linked to the picture I made for Powell's for Flannery O'Connor's Hex Enduction Hour.

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Phil Freeman on Danzig?
Gary Mairs on The Fall?
Oh! Husker Du proposals, too!
Phil Freeman: but of course.
But Bill Ham on The Fall.
But Bill Ham on The Fall.
Nice!
Did Gary pitch anything?
Nick Cave and Cocteau Twins for Jilli.
Yay Nick Cave, eh on Cocteau Twins. I mean, I like their stuff, but I can't really tell any of it apart.
Danzig
Woooh! Which album? Not that I listen to a lot of Danzig, but I find the whole notion of Danzig to be goofily charming. (I know, I know, I'm kind of strange.)
And more importantly: The Cure! David Bowie! Duran Duran! Queensryche for Operation: Mindcrime (wow, I really want to read that book!
Holy crap, someone submitted Fall Out Boy. (Under The Cork Tree.)
Huh. Ple, did you know this?
Damn, I didn't. That's a right shame.
Queensryche for Operation: Mindcrime
I'll be over here, twitching, remembering 1990.
Hey! Look! Hall! Oates! (STILL AWESOME.)
Holy crap, someone submitted Fall Out Boy. (Under The Cork Tree.)
An excellent choice from their albums, though I'd love to read one about Folie A Deux as well.
I'm excited by Whatever and Ever Amen and Very (two well-loved albums of my youth), John Mayer, and Jimmy Eat World appearing on that list. And hey, if someone writes the Kanye West one, maybe I can figure out why everyone is loving 808 and Heartbreak so much, and whether I should care too.
Did Gary pitch anything?
I don't think so. He's dean of his program for the next year, and probably too busy to think about writing a book.
Woooh! Which album?
First one, I think, although I believe he intends to talk about the Misfits, too, if they select his book.
