Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

Rock stardom reduces life expectancy.

Music and actuarial tables. Who could possibly be interested in that sort of thing?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So what's killing the famous? The authors identified cause of death wherever possible and classified it as either "other" or "substance use or risk-related deaths."

Some day, we will come to terms with the tremendous loss of life of rock musicians due to "other". I mean, we watch biopics of rock stars and their nightmarish descent into booze and drugs, but not about their nightmarish descent into other.

I'm surprised he didn't break out airplane crashes into a separate category.

That's gonna be sooooo crowded. But worth it - I've seen Sleater-Kinney, Magnetic Fields and Southern Culture on the Skids there too.

Has anybody ever noted how much Georgia Hubley looks like Amy Madigan?

Also, related to nothing in particular, but I was blown after following Yo La for years to find out she was the daughter of John and Faith Hubley of animation fame.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

In the unlikely event I ever become rich and famous, I intend to stay out of small private aircraft.

And sister of Emily, a fine animator in her own right!

True enough. She did the animation in Hedwig, right?
