Xander: Just once I'd like to run into a cult of bunny worshippers. Anya: Great. Thank you very much for those nightmares.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It'd be nice if you could hear the people on the stage singing, and not just the audience.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

For the Mountain Goats fans among us, John Darnielle's latest blog post contains two things that made me very happy: news about the next MG album (due Oct. 2nd) and a link to his wife's (partner's? I can't recall if they're married) website, with photos of their super adorable chunk of a baby. LOVE.

That is one cute chunk of a baby. And it looks like he's about two months older than my guy. Play date!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

In hello, I am a teenage goth girl news: tickets for the Seattle date of the next Emilie Autumn tour go on sale in 40 minutes! (I did check with her manager to see if I could be put on the list for the VIP pass, but no. Which, fine, I'll buy a ticket, they've already arranged for me to do another interview with her and be sent the new album for review. Whee!

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

He talked about it on Colbert, but I don't think it was from her wedding dress. In any case, he said it was part of a dress left behind in the closet when she moved out.

He's claiming it's her wedding dress. I think it's odd no one points out that that's not even a dress, let alone the wedding dress in their photos.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Random: I just downloaded The Blue Aeroplanes' Huh! The Best Of... 1987-1992. I didn't own anything by The Blue Aeroplanes before, but a friend of mine was into them. And I had completely forgotten how much I love the song "You (Are Loved)". I had it on a compilation tape I made about 23 years ago.

So, um... another example of online music stores enabling me to easily find stuff I was into decades ago.
