So, Doc Watson fell and then had surgery on a blockage of his colon? He's in critical condition but is responsive and recovering.
Oh no! Stay healthy, Doc! He is amazing, and Merlefest is a super good time.
I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

RIP, Doc. My parents said he seemed out of it and didn't play much when they saw him last month at Merlefest. And his wife had a stroke and is in a nursing home.

So I was listening to "More Than This" in Starbucks. They have 80s in their rotation this month and I was struck with the guitar work - especially toward the end of the song and I could SWEAR those guitar notes were reminiscent of Bruce Hornsby and the Range (80s) or Don Henley. It seems though that the guitar player of Roxy Music is Phil Manzanera, and I see no record of him playing with Henley or Hornsby.
Am I hearing a similarity that isn't there?
