I'm just waiting to see if I pass out. Long story.

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Oddly, this will be the first East Coast ATP that I will miss, having attended the previous five. I'm most sorry that I'll miss Scrawl.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I was listening to Joe Jackson's Sunday Papers today and realizing he was singing about News of the World, which means JJ sounded the warning about Murdoch's BS thirty three years ago. Basically from shortly after NewsCorp's founding.

I found this interview with him about the song, and he mentions that his snarky song is not so damned funny these days. [link]

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm most sorry that I'll miss Scrawl.

They're my main reason to want to go there.

Edit: well, I won't go. But these were nice 24 hours of dreaming that maybe I'll be able to.

move out and draw fire

OK, so, I'm putting together a playlist for my project. We're having a big launch day thing, giving away swag, projecting videos and stuff on walls, being shiny, and I feel there needs to be an audio component.

The project is called Spark, and it's basically Innocentive - crowd-sourced open innovation. Someone posts a tough problem and offers an award, and whoever solves it gets the award.

Everyone goes for "Light My Fire" first - do you guys have more interesting suggestions?

Are we looking for incendiary things, or more generally sparks of innovation/genius?
