Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

When rock and roll and sabermetrics collice you get...Value Over Replacement Musician.

A completely specious but entertaining stat just to see how Steely Dan and the Bad Brains rank in terms of "established value."

Watching Pete's unthinking facial expressions while my bandom playlist is going through the speakers is kind of hilarious. (I usually don't inflict it on him, but have kind of needed it the past few days.) I'm just glad he doesn't pay much attention to the lyrics, otherwise he'd really start asking about my pete wentz is not a role model for mental health tag on LJ.

I had to stop and remind myself not to sing along to "27", because while I think the song is great and at times hilarious, I can imagine my spouse's reaction to me belting out "If home is where the heart is then we're all just fucked".

Whoa! When did you change that?!

"Half doomed and semi-sweet" is one of the only text tattoos I've ever considered.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I have a text tattoo ban. I'm pretty sure I'd end up looking like a dictionary in short order.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

My text tattoo is cleverly disguised.
