My guess is that Bowie himself let it loose because he figured it wouldn't get out otherwise, and he was tired of releasing bits and pieces as "exclusive tracks" and b-sides.
My guess is he released it because he loves me.

Huh. Interesting. He mostly agrees with me on it, I see. It's my favorite of the Cohen albums, as a whole.
Doris Day recently turned 89. She gave a rare radio interview last fall, and it's pretty fascinating if you're fan.
She sounds great - she sounds like...Doris Day. And cheerful and laughing. She goes into detail about the car accident she suffered as a teenager which stopped her dancing career and forced her to singing career.
