Ah. I knew I had heard of Bis somewhere....
Ooh. eMusic has The New Transistor Heroes - I'll have to get that....

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Hec, are you familiar with Bis?
Yep, "Action and Drama" is probably my favorite song by them. I put it on my Pop Treats - All Sorts mix between Shampoo and Vitamin C.
I always liked Sweat Shop Avengers. Unfortunately, I saw them play live in 1998 and they were terrible! Kinda soured me on them for a long time.
Aw, that's awesome. Also, a really good album and a really sweet car.
Yeah. If only Neko Case came with the car....
(Usually if I see a picture of a sexy woman posing with a cool car, I want the car more... but not in this case.)
Neko is gorgeously lush, it's true. And her voice is one of my favorites.
Trish Keenan of Broadcast passed away earlier today from complications with pneumonia after battling the illness for two weeks in intensive care. [link]
Broadcast were a rare band that managed to combine artsy electronics and pop melodies in just the right proportions.
I like the one song I have by them, "Before We Begin." That's really sad.
Daisy Jane, Kate P., and other fans: the new The Pierces album will be out 3/14. Also, they have a new website - www.thepiercesmusic.com. Haven't checked it out yet.
