Trish Keenan of Broadcast passed away earlier today from complications with pneumonia after battling the illness for two weeks in intensive care. [link]
Broadcast were a rare band that managed to combine artsy electronics and pop melodies in just the right proportions.
I like the one song I have by them, "Before We Begin." That's really sad.
Daisy Jane, Kate P., and other fans: the new The Pierces album will be out 3/14. Also, they have a new website - www.thepiercesmusic.com. Haven't checked it out yet.
I knew about the new album, but not the new site. Will have to share elsewhere b/c I've turned a few friends onto them.
