You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I was mostly kidding. I'm on the fence about her, too, though I do kind of like Telephone.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

$2 MP3 credit at Amazon. Expires today, only just found out about it now. But it's still working for me. [link]

I already had "Hangin' on the Telephone" in there. Added the Black Angels track, Jim Croce (which I'd been thinking about but hadn't downloaded yet. I was tempted to add the Cake track but it just didn't strike me right.

I listened to most of the comp in the order I have it and it played surprisingly well. I was expecting it to have more jarring leaps.

EDIT: You're welcome, smonster!

Now I have to export it as audio and reimport it again to get around any possible DMR issues, change ID3 tags, come up with comp artwork, upload it and email out.

Nice list from the AV Club:

Telephone Operator - Pete Shelly.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I'm probably taking a chance by mentioning Meri Wilson's "Telephone Man" -- a three-minute double entendre about having your phone installed. Most (but not all) of the rest take place on the telephone.

"Memphis" -- Johnny Rivers
"I Just Called to Say I Love You" -- Stevie Wonder
I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" -- England Dan and John Ford Coley
"Mr. Telephone Man" -- New Edition
"777-9311" -- The Time
"Don't Call Us, We'll Call You" -- Sugarloaf
"Woman to Woman" -- Shirley Brown
"Doctor's Orders" -- Carole Douglas
"As Soon As I Pick Up the Phone" -- Conway Twitty/Loretta Lynn
"Yes, Mr. Peters" -- Roy Drusky/Priscilla Mitchell OR Porter Wagoner/Pamela Gadd

Have it in there.

"Memphis" -- Johnny Rivers

Used Pianosaurus' version.

I listened to the Pete Shelly tune while I was compiling but wasn't grabbed by it.

I may listen to and include other suggestions if I feel like I need to do more work, but at 31 tracks the comp is already pretty big. Plus the downloads I'm paying for are racking up a bit...

Because books.

Oh man, I used to love "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight." Songs from my childhood!
