I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm working on a playlist that still isn't coming together for me. I decided to sum it up as Epic (even though that isn't quite right). Loud, preferably happy, fast, pounding (an evolution of my speeding ticket playlist that never panned out)

This is what I have so far:

All These Things That I Have Done - The Killers Keep the Car Running - Arcade Fire Dreams - Brandi Carlisle All Float On - Modest Mouse Liztomania - Phoenix Shadowplay - The Killers Down Boy - Yeah Yeah Yeahs Drumming Song - Florence + the Machine I Want Blood - Empires Wake Up - Arcade Fire Inní mér syngur vitleysingur - Sigur Rós Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs Cobra Style - Teddybears Dog Days are Over - Florence + the Machine Mr. Blue Sky - ELO When You Were Young - The Killers No One Takes Your Freedom - DJ Earworm Wolf Like Me - TV On the Radio Rebellion - Arcade Fire

Any suggestions or recommendations?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Brighton Rock by Queen!

Epic, fast, unbelievable guitar playing. Check it.

Moving by Suede would also be great. Very propulsive. You can hear it here.

Uh, do you need something more contemporary than that?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Contemporary is not a must, that just seems to be where I'm finding existing music in my library (my evolving tastes through the years, and I tends towards moody and slow in general. I have lots of music I can slit my wrist to, but not a whole lot for jamming).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, those should definitely work on an epic level.

Finding those songs on YouTube I just discovered Corinne Bailey Rae's cover of "Steady As She Goes" (Raconteurs orig.) Cool!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Na Na Na or several other tracks off of My Chem's new one, Danger Days. (can't believe I was the first to post that)

Also, The Devil and Maggie Chascarillo by Lucero.

They have a song about the lead character in Love and Rockets?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Na Na Na was played a bunch of times during the hockey game I was watching tonight. I was all, of course, that's a perfect hockey song.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.
