Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Because books.

This is probably a non-starter, but does anyone happen to have Dave Mason's "Spend Your Life With Me"? Yeah, we're talking a ... thirty-year-old song here, but it was my wedding song, and it's my twentieth anniversary. And I only have it on vinyl somewhere in a box (which was, indeed, how it was played at our reception), and I'm feeling nostalgic.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Any Muse fans around? First time I heard them was seeing the video of their cover of "Feeling Good" on MTV Europe. I recently stumbled onto "Starlight" (looking for the Supermen Lovers song of the same name) and I've been listening to it repeatedly.

Now I'm thinking I might need to track down more of their stuff.

“Not dead yet!”

I've got Black Holes and Revelations smonster and I really like it. I first heard them on Live From Abbey Road and really liked their sound.

It's like ‘Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.’ The more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that’s how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he’s a 108 year-old virgin, so he’s obviously got some issues.

Is that an actual quote? If so, it's beyond awesome.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, I've seen that in an interview somewhere.

La la la music is nice la la la... <back ontopic>

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Just woke up. Why? Because Amanda Palmer rang in the new year with a show that started at 2:00 am and wrapped up around 6:00 am.

She's epic. And Bowery Ballroom is a tiny venue with a stage door right next to the stage so she wound up standing next to us watching the opening act. Emilyn Brodsky's band includes Brian Viglione. That man is porn.

I'm also tired from three days in Asbury Park after Christmas seeing The Bouncing Souls and a dozen other bands. Every night was three different opening bands (some newer, some punk royalty) and the Souls performing a different set. And there were afterparties. We had many lovely adventures.
