Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

While searching my iTunes for "prince" and "princess" songs, I found -- and had obviously forgotten that I had -- "Someday My Prince Will Come" performed by Miles Davis, from The Complete Columbia Recordings 1955-1961. I like it a LOT.

Not a single song or artist with "princess."

For "king," I have the "Plow King" jingle from The Simpsons performed by Linda Ronstadt.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"That name again is Mr. Plow."

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I realized I have far too many versions of this song, including the original, and the very breathy Sinead O'Connor cover. But I really like Tierney Sutton's jazzy take on this type of song (She also does a great "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" and "Show Me").

ETA: I also have too many versions of this:

Nick Cave and Shane Macgowan - What a Wonderful World

I'm pretty sure a friend of mine has it, but I don't know if she has the ability to make an mp3. I emailed and asked her....

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I meant the song, not by those particular artists, which I assume is what you wanted.
