Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Man, the Clientele's cover of "Paper Planes" at the AV Club is just fantastic.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hec, I just linked to that video on FB. I've been earwormed with "I'm a Falcon" since yesterday, when I'm not earwormed with Lady Gaga.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We are all about Dawes at my house right now. [link]

Check out their free download of "When My Time Comes" which I am listening to right now AIFG!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Another board had a question about favorite albums, reminding me of Poi Dog Pondering's Liquid White Light, which got me poking around YouTube where I found my favorite song, "God's Gallipoli. Love this song!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Am listening to a live version of "Crepuscule with Nellie" by Thelonious Monk. People are talking in the background. I wanna travel back in time to 1958 and yell at them - "Why the fuck are you talking during this awesome song?!?"

I think "Crepuscule with Nellie" is my favorite jazz song....

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think "Crepuscule with Nellie" is my favorite jazz song....

It's a great song - one of his most memorable melodies.

I first encountered it from the Buffista Music Exchange thing - I think from bicyclops. So thanks, Buffista-who-probably-is-bicyclops.

Fantastic song. That's probably from that Live At The Five Spot - Discovery album of Monk with Coltrane that was recorded on a cheap handheld by an audience member.
