We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay Trudy!

Y'all! I just ran into Darth! I conjured him with the power of my MIND.

...I should do that more often.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Okay, finally actually listening-listening to all of 1372 Overton Park (yeah, yeah) and wow. Did Ben fall in love with The Hold Steady while I wasn't looking? Not that I'm complaining, but two songs made me double-take.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Could you conjure me a sexay man with your mind?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What am I doing here?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

There's a new Robyn Hitchcock album on the way that features Johnny Marr on one track. He co-wrote the song, too.

Very cute Marr-less video: [link]

I've been mostly Pogues-less since I switched away from cassette tapes, but now eMusic has added the Pogues, so I've acquired If I Should Fall From Grace With God and Rum Sodomy & The Lash.

If anything, I love these albums more now than I did before, back in my 20s. And I gotta say "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" is by my favorite anti-war song.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I hadn't realised the Pogues had covered that. I played it (the original) when I visited Gallipoli. It's a pretty powerful song.

Who did it originally? I'm only familiar with the Pogues version.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Is it an Eric Bogle song? My favorite Irish pub in New Orleans used to play it.
