There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

It's honestly killed some of the anticipation I had for the next album - I was so looking forward to seeing what all of them did with the direction they were going in.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I am curious as to the reason for Bob's departure; I wonder if we'll ever know.

Other Cohen fans may have already seen this, but there's a personal reflection on LC's music in a guest post at Tiger Beatdown. [link]

I don't know anything about this particular case, but it has all the classic hallmarks of a band asking somebody to enter rehab. The language is circumspect, it was hard, they discussed it etc. When there's "artistic differences" they usually say so. If there's an internal split everybody runs to the press to get their story out. When they don't talk about the reasons publicly it's almost always drugs or drinking.

Because books.

PLEASE DON'T SAY THAT.

Mostly because it's all too plausible, since he had the writ surgery and painkillers could be an issue.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm curious too, but part of me hopes we never know.

They've always been good at keeping things private (a certain F*CK YOUR CREW shirt being a noted exception) and I've always respected the way they pretty much never talk trash ( even if Mikey might want to. ) It's likely not a one word answer and, like any divorce, not really anybody outside the family's business.

That said, the whole thing is killing me and I WANNA KNOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Two guys in that band have already been to rehab. I don't think they'd kick him out for that.

edited for poor wording

I'd be surprised if it were rehab. This would be the, what, i fourth addiction problem? There wasn't a parting of the ways ( groaaaan ) over any of the others.

They'd kick him out because he won't go to rehab. Especially if they have.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I seem to recall that when the Clash kicked out Topper Headon, they made an oblique statement about how he had fallen victim to the bourgeoisie trappings of fame.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Anyway, I don't know the particulars. But I have seen this dynamic play out dozens of times, and this is a common pattern.
