Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
You and me both. I am a HUGE Bob fan, and so is Ben. He's going to be bummed.
At least he didn't spontaneously combust.
I... just...
Face it. About the only band ever that's had the same drummer the whole time is Van Halen.
I was going to say the Beatles, but Pete Best.
But the only the reason the Who and Zeppelin got new drummers is because they snuffed it. And really when the drummers died there, that was the end of those bands as productive units.
There are other bands, of course, that had one drummer the whole time. Notably Jerry Allison of Buddy Holly's Crickets, Ziggy Modeliste of The Meters, Larry Mullen, Jr. of U2, Greg Errico in Sly and the Family Stone (I'm specifically citing bands with notable drummers...)
Though your point is noted. Drummers are fungible and volatile.
It was humor. 'Cause Alex Van Halen is the drummer.

No, I got that. So was Karen Carpenter of The Carpenters. Also Don Henley of The Henleys Eagles.
David, Just maybe this is a time to let people have a minute or two to mourn a band that they really liked. As a thought.
And the Doobie Brothers! And the Ramones!
sighhhh...
