Am listening to Galaxie 500's cover of New Order's "Ceremony." The lead guitar part sounds really sad to me.
Now I'm not sure why it sounds sad. The notes seem slightly late in an intentional syncopated style - maybe that's it. Or maybe I'm just sad.

Cheer up, bucko! Listen to some Jonathan Richman. I recommend "Down in Bermuda." One cannot remain too downcast after listening to "Down in Bermuda."
Heh. Maybe I should do that. I just let my iTunes segue into the Galaxie 500 Peel Sessions - their cover of The Young Marble Giants' "Final Day" is awesome (way better than the original) but just made me more sad....
