There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Happy Birthday to The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.
"A surprise party? For me? You shouldn't have."
I was just listening to the live cd in the car tonight. And I have my mask on my altar for Day of the Dead.
"A surprise party? For me? You shouldn't have."
Hee!
I think I'm going to hang my mask up on the library wall. And I need to get my signed picture from the the deluxe set framed.
I believe some people in this thread may want this shirt.
That's awesome (and cheap!).

Now playing: High Land, Hard Rain by Aztec Camera. Awesome album!
Wow, it's apparently out of print (and therefore worth more). Huh - I got my copy used for cheap about 10 years ago.

Passing this along from the FAQMissus who got it from a musicologist listserv:
Professor XXXX,
I was referred to you by Barbara in the Department of Musicology at UCLA. My firm represents a juvenile client, [name], who is charged with murder in Ventura County, CA. Among other things, the DA has alleged that [name] committed the offense for the benefit of a criminal street gang, based in part on his interest in the Nardcore punk scene that originated in Oxnard, CA. The police expert relied on drawings of Nardcore logos that [name] possessed, which he stated are indicative of neo-Nazi criminal street gangs.
We need an expert to testify about the Nardcore scene and specifically to what extent it is associated with Neo-Nazism. Barbara from your department indicated that you have expertise in Southern California popular music, and I hope that your expertise extends up the coast as far as Oxnard, or that you can direct me to somebody in California who might be able to help us. Any assistance is very much appreciated.
Regards,
Josh Solberg
