You're talking to Serenity. And, Early... Serenity is very unhappy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

x-post with Natter: Jim Carroll has died of a heart attack

These are people who have died, died...

I love that first album.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. I actually love "City Drops Into the Night" about as much as "People Who Died."

eta: Catholic Boy, right?

Because books.

Catholic Boy, yeah.

I love "Three Sisters," too.

Because books.

I've discovered I'm either too old or too well-mannered to enjoy the VMAs.

Maybe you're too cool.

Well, I doubt it's that.

Russell Brand also makes me gag, so I changed the channel.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Not getting the Russell Brand appeal.

Then again, I find neither Katie Perry nor Megan Fox more than mildly pretty so I am clearly out of sync with popular culture.

Because books.

Megan Foz looks completely vapid to me, although I can see, objectively, that she's very pretty.

Katie Perry is an adorable, lush little thing, on the other hand, imo.

I wound up turning them back on, and as Ailleann said to me earlier, the whole thing was just sort of fabulously trainwrecky and over the top. Pink was truly fantastic, though.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Such a trainwreck. But I bet it took a lot of pressure off Russell when Kanye stepped in and stole the show right at the beginning. (Douchebag.)
