Ash: thank you! She'll be pleased to hear it, as am I.
Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Too soon? [link]
Yikes.
Tasteless but unsurprising. (That *someone* came up with that already, not that Jon posted the link.)
Ok, that was clever and not mean.
(This is me consolling myself that I chuckled.)
Poor Ringo
that does seem kind of mean spirited. But very well done. I'm on the fence as far as forwarding it to my Beatles loving friends. For one thing they all know that I love that song.
So, I have this recollection of a Billy Idol (I'm almost certain it's him) video from the late 80s (I think) which at the time I believed was based on the black & white movie The Seventh Veil, with Idol sitting in a wing-backed chair and wielding a cane in the manner of James Mason.
I've just tried to track it down on YouTube, but I've no idea what the song was.
...
...anybody? Bueller?
Doesn't sound familiar, Fay, but here's a list of Billy Idol vids.
Although, while it's not B&W, the chair and cane (I think) description remind me of The Killers' "Mr. Brightside" vid.
ARGH. I keep hearing a Range Rover commercial with what sounds like a really cool instrumental as its background music (or at the very least, a cool instrumental break) and I cannot for the life of me, track down what it is.
YouTube and Answers.com have failed me.
If you can link us to the actual commercial, that would be helpful....
