I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

Welcome, JenP! There will be much deathmatching going on, at a day per round. And that's just quotes per season.

Do you even know how happy this makes me? You ARE a total ray of sunshine!

Yay, Jen is voting! Voting wrong in some cases, but still...

Hi Jen, hi! Glad you're enjoying the deathmatch. Even if some of your votes aren't right.

It's nice to be appreciated even when you think I'm wrong. ::hugs deathmatch, thread, and board::

Because books.

It's nice to be appreciated

And MISSED. Where have you been, missy?!

JenP - May 25, 2010 4:29:00 pm PDT #9816 of 30002

Aw, thanks. I miss you, too. I really do. I've been catching up in lurk mode for what feels like months now. Work is a huge time suck, basically (that's not how I'm supposed to think about it, is it? Ha!). BUT I have made some new hires recently that I think will help tremendously with that... just in time for hiatus, yay? So, yeah, bring on the death matches of assorted variety!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I never would have called Sam/Ellen from the screen, but every one I've read has been scorching like whoa. It's possible it's an Ellen thing for me. Ellen and good writing.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

Drat! I had this great voting post with reason and emotion and references (but not quite circles and arrows) and my computer blipped and lost it (as well as my ability to punctuate, apparently) and now I only have time for the Reader's Digest condensed unformatted version:

S2,R1,B1

proud, time alone, girl inside, Swayze'd

S2, R1, B2

stayed dead, let me help, McGillicuddy, troubling question

S2,R1, B3

supposed to do, stay dead, funnyadorable, worth saving

S2, R1, B4

sacrifice yourself, higher power, school house rock, bossy/short

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I shipped Ellen/Dean. I was so disappointed when Kripke said it would never happen. I wanted to tell him, "then give me a damn good reason."

I can kinda see why he didn't go there, after trying to go Dean/Jo. It would be complicated, and I think fic has room to do it better. Or distract you with the porn...for which I am hella grateful. I think she's my favourite hookup for Dean.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Well, both Ferris and Ackles were ready to go there, if the writers were. Sam asked Jensen before she asked Kripke.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It was pretty sad when Kripke just flat out said there'd be no Dean and Ellen. I think they'd have been a hell of a couple. Plus she had chemistry with him. Unlike Jo.

I've never read Sam/Ellen. I don't think I want to.

I think asking the other actor is really weird, unless you're looking for ammunition for your pitch.

Still, Show spending enough time on a non-Winchester-Winchester relationship to explain why they're shifting focus a generation? As much as I'd love to have seen it onscreen I'm not slightly surprised.
