I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Now that they've taken away his Fall, which is where I saw all the wonderful potential for storytelling, I'm at a loss. And I don't hold much hope in trusting that the writing for him as an archangel will be satisfying, as I was hoping for something else for the finale. Not just whether it was epic or not, because I enjoyed the hell out of that quiet Buffy finale, Sleepless or something like that. There's always the possibility that the writers will come up with something satisfying, but I suppose I'm a small fraction of the audience with a definition of what "satisfying" means.

I have contract news, if anybody wants.

Ooh! Me! Me Me! May I PM you?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I forgetting Cas is now an archangel. Maybe he'll get cast out for some reason.

Is he an archangel now? I mean, that would be great and he would totally deserve it, but I missed it.

I might be confusing fic with canon. He's definitely more than he once was. Whether that means archangel or not, idk. Who's left? Raphael? (dude totally needed to be smited, but maybe he can be an antagonist next season if they don't drop the angel stories completely). Joshua?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The final round for season 1 is here:

Dean: No chick flick moments.
Sam: Alright...jerk.
Dean: Bitch. 11:6

versus

Dean: I think he wants us to pick up where he left off. You know, saving people, hunting things—the family business. 15:2

Allons y!

Round 5:

  • Family business

Cas is "new and improved", but they never said archangel. Raphael, Michael, Lucifer, and Gabriel were archangels, so there's only one left in heaven.

A very tough choice but humor wins out (for me).

Dean: No chick flick moments.

Sam: Alright...jerk.

Dean: Bitch.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

Wow this was surprisingly tough. An iconic dialog between the brothers or their S1 mission statement.

I'm going with jerk/bitch though I really could have gone either way.

But when I think about how this little exchange has been threaded through out show I feel a heart string tug because it's their short hand for "I love you."
