Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It needs the bookend of the fan explaining why Supernatural doesn't suck.

I can add that when I get home.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I'm watching the Supernatural Fan convention episode 5x09 to get the quote. I'm having a good time rewatching. Chuck asks if there are any questions and every hand in the room shoots up. Even if we wouldn't go to a convention, we (in this thread) are so virtually in that room.

Demian: I'm not sure you get what the story's about.

Dean: That so? Demian: In real life, he sells stereo equipment. I fix copiers. Our lives suck. But Sam and Dean. To wake up every morning and save the world. To have a brother who would die for you. Well, who wouldn't want that?

and I'm not submitting this but it's making me laugh and laugh

Con Manager: Welcome to the first annual Supernatural convention. Ah.. At 3.45 in the magnolia room, we have the panel 'Frightened little boy, the secret live of Dean'. And at 4.30, there is the 'Homo-erotic subtext of Supernatural'. Oh! And of course the big hunt start at 7 p.m sharp!

Because books.

That's sort of a fun game to consider, Theresa.

As in, if we had invited Kripke here to talk to just us, what would you ask him about the Winchesters?

Oh, Oh, Oh.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

As in, if we had invited Kripke here to talk to just us, what would you ask him about the Winchesters?

I'd run. Fast. And very far away.

Then maybe read the transcripts after. With booze to try and control the motts.

Because books.

Right? There are a couple things I would want to ask. A few of them would have to do with planning, though, and how much he knew from the outset, because I think writing episodic TV, especially with a team, is a lot different than a novel.

With a novel, something could develop in Chapter 16, and you could go back and seed it in Chapter 2. But once an episode has run, well, that's how you get weirdo retconning.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

If it were the public, I would agree with you Cass, but Kripke in here to answer our questions...I would totally pay the price of admission.

And even though I know Supernatural isn't real...

Kripke: It's real, Theresa.

Theresa: I KNEW it!

Is it too late for

S4 4x18 Chuck: Well there is only one explanation. Obviously I'm a God. A cruel, cruel capricious god.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Buffistas coped well with Tim Minear living here for a while and joss stopping by. I think we could handle Kripke. We're cool like that.

Ehab-that's a great quote. Should I just pick one to replace?

I would be fine with that.
