That coda that ita linked makes me wonder:
Are people really that surprised that, given they are guaranteed an S6, the showrunners would keep a few things unresolved? So that they, you know, have some more stories to tell next season?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Happy Birthday, Theresa!
Happy Birthday, Theresa!
I thought that was all Sammy at the end. I think Sam is stealing himself to drag Dean back into it. Possibly with something to do with Ben or Lisa. . . if it's a Winchester family thing - then most likely Ben.
Happy Birthday, Theresa!!
Man, I feel the need to rewatch the entire season, now, but I haven't been saving more than four episodes at a time on the DVR. Ah, well. More to look forward to when the DVDs come out.
Happy Birthday, Theresa!

I hope for this but I have to believe the light popping off and Sammy's ambiguous expression mean something.
It would be cruel of Sam to not tell Dean he's there if it is him. I could see the story going that way because he's trying to do the right thing by Dean and give him the life he should have (by Sam's definition).
I wanna know how Sam got out of the pit. And where's Michael, then? Lot's of stuff to mull over during hellatus.
It's possible Michael and Lucifer are both still in the cage, and that Sam alone was released. Or perhaps enough time passed down in the lowest recess of Hell that the former two finally hashed out their differences and worked together to escape.
If God restored Castiel, and through him Bobby, I see no reason why he couldn't restore Sam (or Adam for that matter).
Missyjack wrote some thoughts up on the episode that I enjoyed. Soul Mates
That was beautifully written, ehab. And encapsulates pretty much everything I feel about the episode, and the show. Thank you for linking!
That was a great post.
Finale brought kroki refur out of retirement--she wrote a coda that just about has the dynamic that I envisioned for Dean, and an interesting angle for Sam.
Personally, I'm confused by all the people that are pissed that Dean is too happy and should be tearing up Heaven and Hell to get Sam back. Firstly, he's not happy. He looked miserable there, in the hug with Lisa, and drinking that hefty drink. Secondly, as Chuck told us, he made a promise. That's the point of his conversation over the Impala at the start. He doesn't want to, but he's respecting Sam's desires.
Sam, now, that's another question. He might have come back wrong. And I do wonder if he's lurking, or if he's walking up to that door. Such is the stuff the hellatus is made up of. I'm glad they didn't leave him invisible, perhaps underground. Because like missyjack said, he might hold off, because he believes Dean can and should be happier without him, but he's WRONG. Remember Heaven, Sam?
