And I'm still trying to decide if Dean got peace or freedom, or both. And Sam.

He doesn't know he has Sam.

I think Lisa may not really be freedom particularly since he's fulfilling Sam's wish.

As for peace I doubt he'll be sleeping easy.

This show has absolutely gutted me tonight.

This.

Poorly worded. I meant I wondered if Sam got peace or freedom. I think he's free of Lucifer, but by leaving Dean with Lisa, has he got peace?

Because books.

God, the look on Dean's face when he was holding Lisa and then the look on Sam's face at the end.

I agree with the Dean part, but not the Sam part. I think the light burning out meant something, and I also think if that was Sam in there, the look on his face would have been fond, wistful, a little proud. I don't think that was Sam at all.

I'm only just now realizing Crowley was completely absent. I wonder how he'll factor into S6. Also, what has become of Bobby's soul?

I guess these are Sera's questions to answer.

I kept expecting Crowley to pop up.

I'm going to have to rewatch in the morning to be able to give any real response beyond OH SHOW. And I LOVED Dean blasting Pyromania at the cemetery. That caused giddy clapping, which startled the cat and the boy.

Also, what has become of Bobby's soul?

Crossroads demons have to keep to their end of the deal. Sam and Dean shoved Lucifer back in the box, with Michael as a bonus. Presumably, Bobby's in the clear.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I think Kripke's diminutive show was something so beyond his own expectations that he wanted to give a gift to fans. I didn't see the ego mania in God so much as I saw a kind of wondrous awe at what had been created. I think he did a lovely job resolving the apocalypse storyline and leaving them in a great place for S6.

I like this kind spin of Kripke's intentions. Ima go with this.

I also think if that was Sam in there, the look on his face would have been fond, wistful, a little proud.

I thought he looked sad. And if he has to drag Dean out of a normal life, that is how he would have looked. Aren't you glad that we have another season to find out who is right? Whee!!!

And I LOVED Dean blasting Pyromania at the cemetery.

Oh yes.

The impala's story was a wonder and I loved that entry point into the story. I am so glad they filmed some bits of them as kids growing up and living in the car.

THIS. So very much. Thank you Kripke. I take back everything bad I said about you and accept your gift. Thank you so much.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

And I'm still trying to decide if Dean got peace or freedom, or both. And Sam. Maybe it's time they both got peace and both got freedom.

I keep thinking that if that was truly Sam there at the end, and that if he's staying away from Dean so that Dean can finally have some normalcy in his life, then it's a noble idea but maybe not the best way to go about it. Because Dean being who he is, he's going to be feeling so much grief and loss and guilt and anger and despair and so on, that leaving him to bear all of that when it could be lifted by telling him that Sam is once again among the living seems unbearably cruel.
