Fred: Oh my God! Angel, you're…cute! Angel: Fred, don't! Fred: Oh, but the little hands! And the hair! Angel: Hey! You're fired.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It wasn't.

So what was wrong with him in the ep? How did they sabotage his character?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

They fucked themselves, having the potential power lying around when the boys needed it

Precisely.

If they'd know know how much Misha would be fangirl catnip, I suspect they might have done a lot of early writing different. But they made him an Angel of the Lord and that's hard to write around when he's a sidekick.

Ugh. The stress of waiting for the finale and then knowing we've got a whole summer to wait. Ugh.

Because books.

The whorehouse stuff never bothered me. I think Dean relates to Castiel as a human, because he knows that -- human desire is pretty much his default, whether it's for pie or alcohol or sex.

I do think Cas is a little bit of a baby duckling there, and by then in general -- he's more than willing to take Dean's lead. But I didn't feel that Dean was laughing *at* him in a malicious way, even at the end (although I agree with ita that it's certainly not the hardest he's laughed in a while, however you measure it). My take was that he was simply overwhelmed by his own foolishness in suggesting it, and Cas's earnestness with Chastity.

Yeah, it was very ludicrous, and ill-fated, and that warrants a laugh or three, but it was neither the be all nor the end all.

And, Cas--totally imprinted.

Because books.

I'm so wiped from traveling today, and have so much to catch up on, I can't believe Thursday is just two days away. And I can't decide if I'm psyched time flew or horrified that we're that much closer to hellatus.

I've been plowing through the Dean/Castiel recs, and that's certainly making me, ahem, happy without conflict.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Not clicking, not clicking, not clicking.....two more days. I can do it.

Go team! Also not clicking.
