Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I tell you what, in my own personal opinion, which is worth exactly jack squat, I think those actors have very different career goals. JP wants to be a name, a Hollywood actor, something of a celebrity.

I think JA wants job security. He likes the family feeling of the SPN-Vancouver set, and he's learning a lot of behind-the-scenes technical stuff with an eye to moving behind the camera. The whole eye of the public thing is something he does because it's part of the job. I think JP eats it up, enjoys working a room, and would miss being in the spotlight.

As I said, opinion only, based on interviews and observation.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wasn't JA the one who said the "back the Brinks truck up" comment about S6?

Yup. I maintain it was in sarcastic response to a critic who said the actors were probably holding out for a big income boost. Though he could easily have been in earnest.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Why not? Dude's pretty active on twitter. He might even answer.

I maintain that if we invited him to our premiere or finale watching party, dude would show up.

Sneak peek #2

Watched. I made the right decision. If that clip can make me cry then I have way too much built up anxiety for this show.

Okay, new rule. Nobody can die. Nobody. I don't care about narrative sense or whose story is done. Just this once, everybody lives!

::is sobbing mess::

Jensen and Danneel better hurry up and get married in the next few days already because I need some happiness associated with this show STAT.

Yeah, I think that was the last comment that could be taken in any way negative. Since then he has been nothing but encouraging about staying.

BTW, I agree with your theory about the two actors goals Bev.

Another observation is that they have been exponentially aging JP over the last season so that now it is almost difficult to see him as the younger brother. The dynamic is different than in the early seasons. When the show started I thought of Sam as a boy. Now I am all, damn Dean, who's your hot brother?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I maintain that if we invited him to our premiere or finale watching party, dude would show up.

Heh. One time Michael Muhney offered to call people during the Veronica Mars premiere parties. And he did. My friends freaked out.

In other words, I agree.

I'm totally over-invested. It's ludicrous. I'm misting up just thinking of the clip again.

Just this once, everybody lives!

You know, I need an icon that says that...

JA is looking really young now. I'm not sure if it was webclip #1, but some recent scene of him face to face with JP, and he looked like such a little boy. But he does vulnerability with such ease, and it wipes the years off his face.

Still, when he gets all "We'll talk about this later!" to Sam I totally buy the big brother dynamic. It seems delusional, but I buy it.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

I get a strange little thrill at the idea of Jensen and Josh hanging out. This is the road to RPS madness isn't it?

It's a very slippery slope...

Still, just the mere mention of Josh Jackson makes me wibbly. Pacey!

Honestly my biggest worry about engaging him is him following me here. Misha is a fan of his fans. As my fan, he freaks me out from time to time. It's actually a genious psychological exercise. He may actually gain privacy by out weirding his fans. Which is another reason to love and admire him.

I've got this one.
