I am reading Defect and it felt familiar. I suddenly remembered I've read it before but before I'd seen Criminal Minds. I only caught up with CM in the fourth or fifth season. It's such a trip remembering what I thought about "Sunny" Garcia and Morgan et al without the background of the show.
I definitely don't think Defect does the characters justice but it's still an intriguing tale and I can't remember how it ends so I'm enjoying the re-read.
ETA: The tense issues above make me feel a little squirmy. Sorry.
Um, I just realized something embarrassing. This is the crossover fic I read with the unfamiliar procedural show I'd mentioned earlier. That's kind of cool and disturbing at the same time. All kinds of plot points are coming back to me. This is probably only freaky and bizarre to me but I had to share.
I'd still love to see a one-shot House crossover where Dean and House have a snark-off.
Oh, and the boys winding up on Project Runway as part of the Changing Channels 'verse (if you can call it that). Because, funny. Sammy's huge paws trying to work the sewing machine. Dean falling in love with some toile. Good times.
Okay, this is perverse (no, not the porny sort) and strange little outsider POV fic to be reading while watching the arguments in Dead Man's Blood. Conversational Winchester indeed.
OMG you've never come across that before? That needs to be included in the starter kit for every newbie to the fandom.
Mine must have got lost in the mail. I'm putting my own together.
I love CWfT. So funny. So true.
We failed in our welcome wagon mission if no one recced that, ita. Oops.
And the troll's last line. I've said it sooo many times.
