My speculation, whitefonted (and someone tell me if I'm overreacting by whitefonting this): Crowley needs Bobby to "sell his soul" to trigger the wish/bargain. After Bobby agrees to get the information of where Death is, Crowley will reply with something like "He's here", and give Bobby back his soul, because Death will turn up and kill Bobby. Crowley will be able to interpret Bobby's wish to know where Death is into a summoning spell.
I really hope I'm wrong. But I'm not sure how else it will go down.

Jilli, I don't think so. I think Crowley will betray them ultimately. (Mentally I'm saying "Demon" in the exact same tone Captain Jack Sparrow said "Pirate" towards the beginning of the first POTC.) But I suspect it will be something with a delayed trigger. Crowley strikes me as being heavily into delayed gratification.
