"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I wish they'd have Dean knife/shoot a villain with a huge power advantage over him before he makes the defiant statement or quip for a change. Castiel had to act much faster to fight Zachariah's goons, and presumably they're on much more equal footing rather than one being made of chalk and tissue paper compared to the other.

Actually, ideally I'd have liked Dean to ice Zachariah by surprise with the Colt, since my previous understanding was that it wasn't extra-special weapons in Uriel's or Anna's hands that allowed them to kill other angels, but the fact that they were being wielded by angels.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

like a striptease of his ruined psyche

Oooh. Damn, I want to steal that line.

It is very good.

Sam in heart was painful to watch, he just *lost* it.

Right? Like I can't imagine Jared not sobbing for hours after that scene.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Amy, it's all yours, if you ever want it! I certainly have nothing else to do with it.

Calli, JP looks *so* different now, doesn't he? But still in a very good way.

I wish they'd have Dean knife/shoot a villain with a huge power advantage over him before he makes the defiant statement or quip for a change.

Like in All Hell Breaks Loose II? He doesn't quip over YED until after he's down.

In this case, I can totally see it. He needs to tell heaven to fuck off when at least one of them is listening, even if that one buys it a second later. And in that moment Zachariah is feeling completely invulnerable.

About the angels killing angels...Anna told Uriel that one of the Winchesters was going to kill him in the future and he believed it, so canon has already been contradictory on that point. But I have seen people comment on that and Dean not being blinded by Zach's escaping grace. But I don't think that means anything.

Like I can't imagine Jared not sobbing for hours after that scene.

Apparently he thought of having to put down his dogs to make himself cry. And JA thought of JP having to put his dogs down. I can see both of them being disquieted for a while. What a mess.

Because books.

Calli! ONE OF US.

I keep wondering if the fact that Dean a) could kill the Whore of Babylon without being a servant of God, and b) saw Zachariah's white light show without his eyes burning out of his skull means something. It must, right?

I must be mixing up how that went down in my memory - I thought he told the YED off, pulled the trigger, and then we went to CSI-style BulletCam. But shooting first and crowing about it later is definitely the way to go.

Having a little allergy issue myself here. Damn.

I'm thinking because of it, it's possible that Adam saw Michael in that room without losing his eyesight.

That's what I loved about him and "Bones" in DSotM. Jared is so awesome with dogs and loves them so much. I know that one wasn't either one of his, though, which would have been cool.

My rewatch was thwarted, by the way. I have a special ops team Garv working on other means, because I'm having the DTs, here.

Oh, yes. It just makes me feel like his aunt. I want to pinch his cheeks and tell him how grown-up he looks.

Calli! ONE OF US.

JA just keeps getting prettier. I'm weak that way.

Good thing I can netflix the last three seasons.

This is ... not the way he makes me feel. Ahem.

I know he spits something bitter out over the corpse--I'm pretty sure he's silent when he pulls the trigger.

I want to pinch his cheeks and tell him how grown-up he looks.

We still talking about his face?

I'm making myself clear other stuff off my TiVo before I rewatch. Again. Kinda rewatched right away. I don't think it's the best of the last handful of episodes, but it's definitely resoundingly satisfying and easier to watch.
