I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I'm trying to remember the pairing for the Vampire Diaries/SPN slash I skipped over in horror.

That's just wrong. Damon is Dean (and Spike) and Stephan is Sam so I wonder if they would slash Damon/Dean or Damon/Sam? I'm betting Damon is the one most slashed.

I like the character of Damon because hey, he LIKES being a vampire. He just wants to eat people. And play with his food. None of this tortured, I am horrible and a monster nonsense. More like I am a monster and it's totes awesome!

Exactly. "Hello? Vampire!" Yeah, he does make me smile a little with that.

Morgana, yes, thanks I appreciate the links. I am weirdly prudish on J2 vs. wincest. I think my squick comes from co-opting real lives for fiction.

My discomfort meter really pings when real life facts are adapted into fiction be it gen or porn.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I actually read a J2 fic yesterday because it had Wincest in the summary. It was some sort of not!ita perfect storm.

Actually I feel the same way; I don't read J2.

Hee! I recognize my discomfort meter pings in my own oddly unique ways. It's there but it doesn't really resemble anyone else's.

ETA: Except apparently Morgana's.

Because books.

Hey, #spn100 is trending on Twitter. Heh.

Also, ita, you have email. Of the briefly distracting till SHOW time kind.

Oh, I cannot usually read RPF. I can squint past some Wincest and get something out of the story, although rarely, because mostly I find OOC or too heartbreaking, but with RPF all I can think of is actors I know, and even with the actors-as-characters argument that I know drives a lot of RPF, I just can't wrap my head around it.

However, I needed to know how someone was working Wincest into a J2 story. Oyveh.

I mean, I can read Eureka Carter/Stark slash and laugh my head off, but Colin Ferguson RPF? You have got to be kidding me. I don't care if you transport him to medieval times and make him a knight or whatever, you're still talking about my best friend. And that bleeds over into all RPF for me.

eta: off to check mail before I go home!

Yeah, THAT would be awkward.

SHOW so close and yet so far. And weirdly that wasn't even my earworm. I was in the grocery store and saw a tuna can. Ever since then it's been "what's the best tuna? Chicken of the Sea."

I think we came to the conclusion a long time ago that we all have different levels of cake and squick. I don't read everything but I always appreciate the links and having the choice.

Okay, Damon make me laugh. No!!! I said DAMON and Elena have sex already, not Stephan. Ugh.

Because books.

I remember when someone (who shall remain nameless) told me what J2 was, way back when, and I was very literally shocked out of my shoes. I had no. idea. that existed. RPF of any kind, really.

Ah, my lost innocence. Bye-bye. You were sort of cute.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I love codas the most, I think, and it's a shame they're not more plentiful.

This is about as far as I'm willing to dip into fic. At least until a show goes off the air.
