I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Much appreciated! Thanks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm watching Scarecrow and it was so very ugh when Sam stops the car and walks out on Dean and my mind flashed to preview clip #1 where Sam says that every time he walked out on Sam was a mistake and it made it even sadder.

I'm not in love with the MOTW stuff here, but we have Meg introduction and lovely brotherly and father relation stuff.

Because books.

That was a truly sucky MOTW, it's true. Almost as bad as the bugs.

I'm so nervous about tomorrow's episode, it's ridiculous. The clips were enough to make me all choked up.

I just read some Dean/Castiel (curse you, ita) that was almost good enough to rec, but not really. And it threw me out of the story when Dean notices that Cas has "smitten" a cell phone.

It was very disheartening when I looked it up and found out that it's actually correct usage, because man, it should be "smote" or nothing.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Curse you and your Dean/Castiel taunting. I am resisting, I tell you.

I've also resisted watching any clips, and just the non-white fonted stuff has me feeling like Amy regarding tomorrow's episode. I want someone to hold me hand.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What about Teen Dean/Plastiel? [link]

Amy, I swear I *just* read that same fic. If it's the same one, I was on the fence about it myself. I liked the intent more than the execution.

I've watched the clips a million times (I may go back for more), I've gotten spoiled unwillingly, I've reread summaries of the past two weeks and I'm totally aflutter for tomorrow.

Teen Dean/Plastiel helps take the edge off, though.

Nightswimming, right? There were some good lines and nice imagery, but it could have been so much better.

Also, I'm watching bits of Ten Inch Hero now, and I feel compelled to mention that I remembered I did have some problems with the end. It's a sweet little movie with good intentions, but one plot point was wrapped up all wrong for me. So.

::goes back to look::

Yeah...Nightswimming. I was actually distracted by the cruelty to the cellphones. Just tell the truth. Not an American English writer.

I read all of oxoniensis's (eta: non 'cest) work. Shame she fell out of love with the show--I'd like have seen her work with the canon we've had since she stopped writing.

I also found an interesting conversation about the difference between misogyny and sexism and how and where they may nor apply to Show. Points are made about can you achieve feminism by letting your men cry and be scared and experience the trappings of feminine characters, as well having women around that do what they do not because of the boys, and some of them even win.

And, oh, they die. Some with agency, some as the monster, some win as they die as the agent. Some manage to stay very present in the story despite being dead.

Carefully noted that Show listens too much to the Off With Her Head Brigades that rise up, but you still ended up with a Bela who didn't care about the Boys except for how they could help her, or Ruby who was playing them to end the world, or Ellen and Jo who were trying to help save the world.

Dean's got his issues, he's got a trailer-load. But it's not the same thing, and I don't think it's inherently damaging.

Horror movie tropes gives us a few more women in peril and women in white, but they're not usually knights in white armour plowing grateful damsels.
