Because books.

Really? I didn't notice that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I guess that's better than snipping scenes, but I'd never notice it, I don't think.

I took SPN on TNT off my season pass. I'm all sad now. But I have S1 and S2 on DVD, and S3 and S4 are on TiVo. I really liked coming home to SPN every day. It's not the same with the DVDs, but this way lies special features, so I will go through them. I'm at 1x10.

I'm pissed that I seem to be out of Teenchester fic. Well, teen Sam. That period where he was getting twitchy and angry, and Dean was already 18 or over and was staying with the family anyway. It must have been weird, trying to be a grownup with the drinking and the women, but still being a surrogate parent and a fighting partner for his father. Meanwhile Sam is hunting kinda reluctantly and probably still idolising his brother at the same time as realising that he can't do that isolated from the world thing for the rest of the life, and maybe about to start resenting Dean for his idolisation of John.

Because books.

I sat here and watched both Hookman and Bugs this morning while catching up email and making the bed, etc. If it's on, apparently I have to be there.

I've read teen Sam like that, but again, it goes places you don't want to, ita.

I did spend the other night writing the beginning of a post-series fic in my head, before I fell asleep. I really like it, too. But I can't actually write it down until the book is turned in, because ... because.

Wahh! Why can't I shape fandom to my precise needs?

So, you hand in your book this Friday, right? Right?

Amy - Apr 14, 2010 7:50:32 am PDT #7286 of 30002
Because books.

Next week you can have some post-series fic which is pretty much exactly what you want, I think. Or at least the beginning of some.

I'm sort of leaping over S6, but whatever. It's the ending I want for the boys no matter what happens.

I told her Friday afternoon. I imagine the last two or three chapters will actually get written over the weekend. I can't let it go farther than that, both because I don't want her to hate me and for my own sanity. So yes, mostly.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Still speculating about the end. Dean becomes Michael suit. Sam become Lucifer suit. And somehow they turn it around, and the horses dominate the riders? We've seen this happen for a few seconds with very strong willed possessed characters, but not on a sustained basis. I'm kinda presuming at this point that the mechanics will be pure handwavium, and that the writers will try to make up for that by having what happens follow from both Sam & Dean's character and from what little we've seen of the characters of Lucifer and Michael. My suspicious is that we end up with a weak ending. But heck, not a fiction writer, so maybe the writers will pull it off.

I'm hoping Sam doesn't say yes. I think part of Dean saying yes before Sam does is to keep him safe too. And to get Lucifer killed before he gets too strong. Oh, and sorry about the collateral damage, but it could have been worse.

I want to see Ackles play Michael, but I don't want Michael to actually possess Dean. I'm hoping we can come out of at least this week with someone (hopefully Sam) talking him out of it.

This, very much so. I'm at the point where I love what he can do with a scene, either funny or serious or intense, and I would really like to see him work some more. Even playing another character would be excellent.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Jensen playing other roles doesn't alway turn out well. See Smallville's Jason Teague. Snoozefest.

Amy, from the talk about your book, I had to go check if you had anything available on kindle. Can I just say thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing text to speech enabled. Nothing makes my commute better than being able to continue a book from where I left off reading. Nothing disappoints me more than buying a book and the text to speech is disabled.
