Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

For *me*, all they had to change was "a whore" to "The Whore" and then you're just talking biblical and not pissing off some fangirls just because you can.

Personally, I rolled my eyes and just knew I'd be skipping a lot of the internet. But I wasn't OMG, THE MISOGYNY horrified. I just thought it was either weak or pissy of the writer.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, it was very much the words, and they could have been altered so slightly. The actors didn't seem to run with it.

Oooh I'm so interested in CM crossovers. Ever since someone around here (I'm sorry I don't remember who) mentioned that the CM ep with the hunting brothers was very much like SPN I can't get the parallels out of my head.

Now, I see them all the time. I think my love for both shows is similar too, in that it's predicated on the dysfunctional relationships. The more dysfunctional the more love I feel.

I feel like an internet n00b but what's AO3?

AO3=Archive Of Our Own. It's a community-built fanworks archive. It has a lot of tagging functionality, so if people play nice, it's easy to sift out stuff for your particular predilection. I'm not sure how well-used it is. It's not as pervasive as something like fanfiction.net, but I'd never go trolling ff.net for fic, because ouch.

ehab, you're right about that ep having those brothers raised Winchester-like, but wrong. Interesting.

Because books.

I know we already rewatched the whole series so far, but I'm home every day and have no reason not to watch the pretty again. (And again. I'm sure you're all shocked.) And in Skin, it really strikes me how gorgeous how Dean is in a T-shirt. Why why do they insist on the layers and the long sleeves all the time?

Don't objectify him.

Right! God is off duty. So I'm safe.

I'm wondering (really only to satisfy my curiosity) why AO3 was created in addition to the already existing and heavily tag focused delicious? I haven't really used either one so I have no idea what subtilties I'm missing.

I am struck by the sheer volume of SPN fanfic sometimes. It boggles the brain. There are some very talented writers in amongst the dross.

I'm into S2 on rewatch and loving it. Sam seems so "healthy" vs. deeply damaged Dean. It makes me sad that they really seem to be backsliding. Sad in a love/hate kind of way.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

AO3 = archive with tagging functionality and other shiny objects.

Delicious = bookmark organization site.

Yeah, AO3 actually hosts content, delicious just links to it. So you can use delicious to store bookmarks to anything, but AO3 is dedicated to hosting fanworks. Currently fanfic, but I understand it's to expand to fanart and vids.

I like the AO3 functionality and mission, but the interface is a bear.
