You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gah. I'm middle of the road on most of the episode, but the arcy stuff rips my stomach out.

Goddamned bastard. I was paranoid about Lisa in the previouslies, and it didn't turn out well.

The "whore" stuff--on another show, maybe it would have gone down easier, but SPN has its rep. Every time the term was used without "of Babylon" it kinda stood out.

As for the rest, though? The ramifications? The arc stuff? OMFG. Don't do me that way. Dean! I knew you were going to say yes, I did. I just didn't know you knew. Not this soon. It's sweet that you're making provisions for the people you care about...would you have driven to Cassie too?

Good eye, Sam, for having called it. Shame you couldn't do anything about it.

Oh, the Sastiel fic there's room for now. Drunken Cas wasn't played for the slapstick it could have been, and I'm glad. I like the bitter humour take better.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, it did.

Plus, what did he whisper to her? Kripke, your whispered revelations are unfair, dude. ARGH.

Ha ha ha, I know, I was like, "AGAIN with the whispering???"

On second watch my favorite line: " it's funnier in enochian."

I liked that one. And the voicemail. Oh, Castiel and cell phones.

I poked my nose in at TWOP and so far there's complaining at Sam for being selfish in his pitch at Dean, but really, I think Dean needs to be (still) reassured about how Sam, specifically, feels about him, so I don't get why him framing it personally.

I think my favourite line, also from Cas is "Sam, of course, is an abomination." Thing is, they're all God's servants. Dude. Joshua just told you God's singled you out. Were you not listening?

Wow. Checking LJ, a lot of people are pissed about Lisa.

I don't get it. Dean's fetishising white picket fences, and this one brush with this kid that he thought for a second was his was the closest he ever came to it. What's the big deal about that? Who else was he supposed to go to, other than dumped-his-ass-twice-and-can't-act-for-shit-Cassie? He already displayed in Dream A Little Dream that she's his happy ending lady. It's not a big deal if he wants to save some women he slept with. It doesn't mean he's condemning Sam to die or anything.

I don't get people.

eta:

Completely tangentially, I don't get people. Check the hot risers in 2010 baby names.

Tenley? That's a name? Atreyu, really?

He already displayed in Dream A Little Dream that she's his happy ending lady.

Exactly.

It doesn't mean he's condemning Sam to die or anything.

He never said Lisa and Ben would be the only people taken care of.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

Part of me wonders if the show writers aren't deliberately messing with fans with the whore-Madonna stuff (whore of Babylon & Lisa). It was so heavy-handed even for Supernatural. Who wrote this ep?

Loved the "shotgun" wedding and Cas' v/m.

JA killed me with Lisa.

I get people being disappointed or not agreeing that Lisa is "the one" for Dean. But I don't get being pissed. I don't get that on any level. Lisa is a doppleganger for the fantasy girl Carmen in WIAWSNB. Dean's type has evidently been based on her. He specifically says that she and Ben are his happy place. If that is the case, then why wouldn't he want to make sure they were safe? There was no betrayal of anyone. My perfect woman for Dean up to this point was still fantasy Carmen, but the hope that Carmen is based on someone real and that she contributes to Dean's happy place--makes me love that person.

The only thing that I am hoping is that Lisa does not die. Please be the one woman that a Winchester can love that doesn't die.

I LOVE YOU GUYS. The first time through, I didn't even notice the whisper. I thought Dean was just holding his face next to hers longer in their embrace. When I looked for it though, I saw him say something. It looked to me like, "I know you lied and Ben is mine." ::runs away::

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I just think your lead up needs more than a one-off ref 2 years ago and some previouslies.

I was REALLY hoping that since Castiel and Dean know that Sam was allowed entrance to Heaven, and that Joshua told them that God has forgiven Sam, that they would stop with the constant refrain of him being an abomination, being damned, being meant for hell, etc. etc.

Wow. Checking LJ, a lot of people are pissed about Lisa.

I didn't care about Lisa specifically; Dean's a caretaker by nature and he's going to want to protect as many people who mean something to him as he can. As I mentioned during the watch and post I think she really is pretty much just an ideal for him rather than a flesh and blood concept; after all, they spent one hot weekend together 9 or 10 years ago and then he never bothered to contact her again until he rolled through town again and showed up at her door expecting to jump into her bed again. Not really any kind of solid basis for a claim of "meaningful relationship." But it's apparently what Dean's fixated on, and if it gives him comfort as he goes through the chaos of his life then hey, more power to him. But what I would have appreciated would have been a two-second shot when he was in the car on the way to her house of him putting down his phone - I wouldn't even have needed to hear him talking - but enough to let me assume he had called Sam. As it is, he drove off leaving Sam back at the scene of another demon attack, (this time after Dean lied and left instead of Sam doing it).
