Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yes! I will be out of it because I'm having a procedure done and, ah, pain or painkillers, but bring it on.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Yes! And then you must post in LJ so we can mock follow along vicariously the next day.

Because books.

Under two hours to SHOW here on the East Coast. It's going to be the only good thing in today, I think.

Jealousy time coming...

I've been rereading the old thread about up to Yellow Fever, and I haven't seen it mentioned there the idea that the reason Dean was infected and Sam wasn't had nothing to do with Dean's potential dickness, but rather that it was payback for his ten years of having tortured in hell. Has that been retroactively accepted as canon reason?

I know Kripke was clear in meta that he didn't mean to say that Dean was a dick, and on rewatch, it seemed to make sense. I just can't remember how things unfolded.

I don't remember discussion of that at all. That episode had so many problems for me, just plot-wise, aside from the ick, that I didn't think too hard about it.

IIRC, Kripke said in interviews that once it was revealed that Dean had tortured people in Hell (which happened a few eps after Yellow fever), it was clear that that was why Dean got infected in Yellow Fever.

I never saw it myself, but I remember him saying it was clear.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Huh. I hadn't thought about the episode and that connection.

Yay Show in about an hour!! I like that I have the excuse of watching Vampire Diaries because it leads into Show. I can just shrug and even self justify that I don't want to miss any of Show. heh.

I watch the last ten or so minutes, same way I used to with Smallville. It's very surreal, since I never have any idea what's going on.

The bigger jolt is going straight from Show to Project Runway at ten. Total whiplash. I keep expecting someone to do a dark ritual with their silk print or Tim Gunn to whip out a sawed-off: "I SAID make it work!"
