Because books.

Seriously, shades of the X-Files there, or what?!

Nuthuggers! BWAH! "Way to hustle, Colby! Walk it off!" OMG, Dean as a gym teacher is priceless.

Wee!Sam is WONDERFUL.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

In November 1997, Dean would be over 18 (so I don't know why he would still be in school, especially since he's on a new school year), and Sam would be 14.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Isn't Dean only 4 years older than Sam? In the flashback the actor playing Dean looked so much older than the actor playing Sam.

Yeah, it looked a little lopsided, but there are times when adolescents look much younger or older than they are. It could be that brief moment in time when Dean was still taller than Sam. 10 minutes before Sammy shot up to beanpole.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, yeah. I remember coming back from summer vacation between freshman and sophmore year and there were guys who grown 6 inches and more. I didn't even recognize some of them.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Well, they may be stretching it a bit, but the difference between the boys I was a freshman with and the almost-men I graduated with four years later was pretty significant in a lot of cases.

Completely. When I was a freshmen girl I was almost afraid of the senior boys because of the difference.

I learned to appreciate it.

Sail, I have NO IDEA why my post cloned itself. Weird things a-happening.

Exactly.

I'm a little surprised at Dean calling the teacher "sugar," but maybe he's learned a *little* self-control since then.

It happens to girls, too. My older sister was one of the tallest girls in her freshmen class, and was one of the shortest as a senior.

So Dean's had a lifelong love affair with the Magic Fingers.
