Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It still whips my chicken that the CW is using S2 promo footage. Both actors have changed a lot since those intros and outros were shot. They should be using up-to-date stuff.

And yes, chilling. Damn, you'd better believe if I was stupid enough to shoot Sam, I'd be smart enough to shoot Dean too.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But that had to be before he had contact with the boys because that is what made him a hunter. That would have been so long ago that this particular sheriff couldn't have known him. I'm thinking that is outside perception, the way that the boys are murderous, psychopathic scam artists. Maybe?

Also, bet he did some drinking after Dean died. Serious drinking.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, we just saw Dean discover empties in Lazarus Rising. He copped to it.

I know Sam wouldn't give Dean an intervention about the drinking, but I wonder if Bobby would? Could he?

You don't have to wonder much about the continuing state of the brotherly bond based on Dean's reaction in that second snippet. Sam's his boy. Also, Dean is bugfuck crazy and shouldn't be allowed to give anyone advice about loss of loved ones, EVER.

Mrs. Singer? Dean got back his dead love. His dead love got him back. They just had sun tans and didn't need to eat anyone's faces.

You know, people keep talking about getting JDM back...

What do you think either Sam or Dean would have to say to John if he did turn up. Do you think he would even have a frame of reference for the stretch of road those two have traveled since he left? Would they even have anything to say to him that wasn't a curse for what he landed them in without forewarning?

I. You know, I was aware John had a lot of faults, and I loved him anyway for doing the best he could--actually, the best anybody could have done for his kids, with what was coming after them. And I love JDM to pieces and am thrilled anytime I get a chance to see him work.

I just don't see how they could possibly work his reappearance in, as John. Maybe if he came back as God. But if they're going to go that route, I really want God to appear as Missouri.

I can't think of a plausible way to bring JDM back for a guest shot, even if he finds the time.

Well, if they can see mom next week, why not dad?

And I don't think they'd curse him. Sam has made his peace and said his piece. Dean I think will stay mum. He's walked too much of that road to curse John out now. Bigger things are at play. But seeing that guy, not chibi!John, but Sir, and getting to say some goodbyes might be valuable.

I *am* really glad whenever I get to see Sam Smith as Mom. Amy Guminick is wonderful and she does a great job as young Mary. But Mom is Mom, you know?

I guess it might be the same for Dad.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

What Bev said.

Because books.

All this talk of werepigs, very distasteful. Hmph.

That second clip really is chilling. Go JA with the Texas, too. Mrph.

I watched the second clip again. I still need to rewatch this week and process and stuff, but damn. I'm frothing for next week. JA looks cold hard badassed.

This morning is In The Beginning. I'm thinking I'll clip a half hour off the beginning of my work day instead of the end and watch this puppy through.
