A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We learn defenses against guns in krav. There came a point where it just seemed stupid to be able to take one away and then not really know what to do with it other than squeeze and pray (or pistol-whip), so I took some classes. I'm a good shot with a handgun, although not a fast aimer. My shotgun skills need more sharpening up, although I surprised everyone by not bruising myself at all. Apparently girls are supposed to hurt themselves.

Because books.

::sits a little further away from ita::

That was another thing I loved, in my rewatch of Sympathy For the Devil. When Zachariah offers to heal Bobby if Dean says yes to Michael, he doesn't even waver -- it's a blunt no. And yet, for a lot of people that would be such a trigger. And Dean held firm.

Jesus, Thursday night cannot come fast enough.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I had a friend who, in his youth, was a pretty rough street fighter, and ended up doing some teaching of knife fighting and knife defense. He recommended that, if at all possible, you should grab your jacket or something to wrap around your non-dominant arm and go ahead and sacrifice that forearm to the knife. The knife can get hung up in the clothing or your arm and give you a few seconds to get in a blow elsewhere. When in doubt, go for the side of the knee.

I think only vampire slayers and others of the supernaturally inclined can actually successfully grab the blade.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sorry. Was outside planning a reorientation of the entry. And arguing aboutdiscussing it, inevitably.

Bride.

IDEK who these guys are

No sudden moves, buddy.

That's it? That's what you got?

I love the maid of honor's expression, looking at Jared.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

it makes me hot all over

so, Amy ... what about Dean doesn't make you hot all over? (I'm sure it's a very short list)

Now wait just a minute, Todd! There's ...

Okay, I got nothing.

Actually, my father taught me to shoot when I was 12 or so. But I really hate things that go boom. I did fencing and archery in college (too many Errol Flynn movies when I was a child?) and discovered I prefer the quieter weapons.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Thanks Bev!

Hee. And Gen's waist is so tiny. Yikes.

And once again I'm reminded of the awesomeness of ita and Suzi. I so need to be training in martial arts. If it wasn't so hurty.

I'm very good prone with a .22 rifle. I never moved up to higher calibers. I hit center man with a .22 long barrel revolver, .22 and .32 automatics, basically point and shoot. If I take time to aim, I can fine it up a bit. I'm bad with head shots.
