Oh, that kind of clear! Got it.
One of my favorite scenes for that was in The Magnificent Seven, when they go into the house where the family starved to death with Bobby. It's all hand motions and eyebrow communication.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

That was a good one.
Darn it Amy, if it wasn't for this obnoxious separation by land mass, we could take shooting lessons together or something.

And suddenly I'm back to day dreaming about dating a cop, however none of the ones that I have known have been very good boyfriend material.
Oh, that would be awesome. It's definitely something I want to treat myself to one day. Everyone else can take their sky diving and bungee jumping, thank you very much. I'll stay on the ground with a good firearm.
My FiL was actually a shooting instructor during the Korean War, but he can barely see the TV anymore, so that's not really a possibility.
More lists to make when the book is done (and probably to soothe the sting of hiatus when it comes):

I also enjoyed Sam's fight with the baddie with the knife in LDC. Made me miss krav something awful too, fighting unarmed against a knife. Though, really, being his size would be nice. I've got a decent wingspan for my size, but that's *my* size. Not mutant boy over there.

Oh good lord.
off the top of my head, anything in WIAWSNB
I think my favourite JA acting moments default to him crying and my favourite JP acting moments default to him being hardass or evil.
I'm going to have to think long and hard to get outside of that.
Ah, well.
When do we get our 100th episode? I'm messed up because of the writer's strike season and I have lost track. Did it air already? Surely it is still to come. I'm going to have to snoop to see if I can find any party pics.

I copyedited a book years ago about self-defense, and it said if someone came at you with a knife, the best defense (if there was no other, I guess) was to actually grab the blade and suffer the injury to the hand rather than elsewhere.
That seems like ... more badass than I can imagine being unless my life was really at stake. Is that even a true thing, though? I remember him also saying to go for the eyes, which is just ... ick.

The one quickie self defence lecture thingy that I attended recommended eyes also and I had the same ick reaction. Then I get mad at myself for having a hard time of getting out of victim mode and being willing to do some actual damage to them.
If my math has it right, episode 18 of this season which airs on April 15th. And judging by the title of episode 17, I think my math is right.
