So that's my dream. That and some stuff about cigars and a tunnel.

Because books.

Misha Collins, man. Wow.

However, and I see this a lot in stories--Castiel can't find them on his own due to the Enochian symbols on their ribs, right? That's why Dean has to call him and tell him where they are before he comes by. Yet he drops in on them in the story.

Does he? I don't remember that. I'm sure I handwaved it, or more likely failed to notice.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For some reason them being undetectable to everyone is big on my mind, so it gets me every time I see it in fic. It's why we get the funny cell phone conversations! It's golden.

But in the story, at the very least, Cas surprises them a couple times by showing up in the car, and he can't do that, unless he's worked out how to track their cell phones. Other than that, I have no beef. Certainly not with the language or the voices or with the "monster" which is so often the wackiest part of the story.

Ah. Now I feel like reading it again.

I have to look at some of my other recs for you, although you really want more Dean/Castiel than gen, right?

Gen's good too. Just that I'm having a hard time finding good D/C on my own, so if people know where it is...

Good brotherly bond stuff, no surprise, is always appreciated. Not that interested in stuff that canonises one brother over the other.

Because books.

I know I've read some D/C, I just haven't bookmarked any I guess. Damn.

Here's some gen.

Dean-centric, but all about Sam leaving. I love the conceit she uses.

Whoo boy, hurty.

Funny, age regression. Lots of awesome Bobby.

Ooh, thanks.

Oh--the top link goes to the age-regression fic too.

Fixed!

Thank god you put that age regression rec in there! The other two are gutting, especially the second one.

I cannot explain my attraction to age regression fic, but, lo, it is large.

Because books.

The second one broke me into little tiny pieces, yes.

I love the age regression stuff, too! I realized a lot of the gen I have bookmarked is exactly that. Did you read the one where Dean needs Sam to babysit?

Dude. If it's too much to post here, I'd love it if you could email them to me. I totally haven't read the one you mention.

I did find a cracky crossover with DA where Sam and Dean adopt Ben and Alec. At which point demon hunting pretty much stops and it's some strange thematic extension of MPREG. And then another writer extended the world with a clone of Sam and I had to acknowledge it was fetishsation.

But not until I'd read it all.

To be sure.
