Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Epic Love Story Of Sam And Dean.

You might not like it, but it is what you signed up for, so don't pretend it's not happening.

Not some "brotherly bond that never was and never shall be" crap. It's there. It's the light that's casting all the shadows.

Because books.

I've never rewatched anything all the way through, episode by episode, and I am the type to let excitement over a new season override any issues with an episode.

Which is a long-winded way of saying that after the delicious meat of S2, The Magnificent Seven was a little like a vending machine snack. Sort of forced, in terms of Dean's jollity. The note that really rang wrong for me this time around was the "cough cough year to live" thing in the thrift shop with Sam.

I think they kind of covered it with his explanation at the end and Sam's continued trauma with the whole thing, but I think the transition was awkward (no Dean voice there). I would have expected more haunted looks on Dean's part. He was very puppy-doggish.

On the other hand, the Drano drinking scene! I forgot this was here. Right up there on my top five most disgusting things this show has ever done.

God, hunters must really get a rage-on at hearing the name Winchester, huh? Even though they didn't open the Hell's gate themselves, they're totally up front and centre with all the bad shit.

And then there are the seals.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I hated M7 with the intensity of burning magnesium. It was only surpassed by my hatred of MM. Those were not my Winchesters.

What's MM? Malleus Maleficarum? I don't have a clear memory of that one.

I think Sam was okay in this one. Dean was mostly a pod person, though. For hated episodes, Route 666 is always highest on my list. Others come to mind later.

Malleus Maleficarum, yes. There were a couple of good character scenes in it, but the rest of the ep was rotten with issues.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Someone spent six months creating Supernatural Monopoly. It is pretty damn sweet.

Damn, that's a hell of a lot of effort. Sweet job.
