Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
I guess I won't get as much carnage as I pessimistically feared/hoped for this way. But extra Winchester is probably worth it. I'm just sure they're going to have a happier series finale in S6 than they would in S5.
From all the soundbites Dawn Ostroff was leaking it made it sound like Kripke was part of the package, so hopefully he's still onboard.
