Woe to the fucking wicked.

Well, everyone who's not already dead.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I love Simon Said because I love Andy to bits. He's endearing, and I was sad and angry at his ultimate departure. There's also what's been fodder for some good vids, with Dean's uber-focus on Sam's unraveling: the hand on Sam's back as the camera moves to include Sam, then falling away as Dean's included in the shot, catching and easing Sam to the ground, and stopping and racing around the car to get to Sam during painful visions. I liked Dean's babbling confession under Andy's directive to "tell the truth," too, since Dean's usually working at obfuscatng what's actually going on in his head.

There's looking back and knowing what's ahead for them is so much worse than this. But at the time, what they were going through was wrenching, both for them and for the viewer.

Plus, knowing now that JP was looped on painkillers throughout shooting the ep is kind of fun.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was wondering about the timing of it. Did he break his hand during the filming of the previous episode and they just had him go castless until this one? OUCH.

I was a bit disengaged, so I missed the actual physical contact. It probably won't be still available for restore when I get home.

Sam's "I'm the weak link, aren't I?" thing is way entrenched, isn't it? I can see how some people might be yelling for him to get over it, but it's not like he hasn't been handed tons of evidence. Still, it made me think of him still asking in "The Song Remains The Same" if he might still give in and say yes. I wonder--how much did Dean tell him about "The End"? Does he know that Dean wanted to give in?

Because books.

Where'd you hear that? Poor noodle.

Sam's "I'm the weak link, aren't I?" thing is way entrenched, isn't it?

I think it goes back even further than Dean telling him what their father said about him going darkside, blah blah (which hasn't happened in the reruns yet). I think even in terms of Jessica's death, and him ignoring his dreams, really screwed him up.

S2 dvd commentary, I think.

Sam's "I'm the weak link, aren't I?" thing is way entrenched, isn't it?

I think he has a lot of undeserved guilt about leaving "the life". Jessica's death was a consequence he takes completely on himself, and really, while consequences do follow him, it isn't really his fault. And I wish at some point he would deal with that reality.

But then, no angst, no story, no show.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Castiel hater.

Nu uh. But he's one of those that dies and comes back.

Bobby, not so much.

He was high.

So far. For some reason.

I was highly amused to read people pissed that Castiel called Sam his friend. Sam can't be Castiel's friend. Dean is Castiel's friend. Castiel's friendship is speshul, and no one can have it but Dean.

Castiel might not know what a Delorean is (I am quite tempted to make my tagline "I do not get that reference", but Castle wins for now), but he knows the lay of the land.

Amy - Feb 09, 2010 11:50:59 am PST #5213 of 30002
Because books.

It is beginning to seem unfair that Sam and Dean apparently have a baker's dozen lives each, and for everyone else, dead is dead.

Except Castiel. And Anna.

I think my favorite Castiel line so far (aside from stoned! hippie! Castiel) is from the promos for next week. He nails those straight lines.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I was highly amused to read people pissed that Castiel called Sam his friend.

They must be the same people who were angry at Bobby when he more or less told Dean to suck it up and stop whining and that family isn't supposed to make you feel good, and what did you want, a pie? Because I remember reading comments that said they knew they should feel bad for Bobby that he was in the hospital and in a wheelchair, but they just couldn't because he was mean to Dean!1!
