Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In the pilot I noticed that Sam's zombie drinking buddy was Barney from M:I's grandson, and Sarah Shahi played the woman in white. It's totally going to be like this all the way through, I'm thinking, peaking with Aldis Hodge.

Because books.

There are definitely a lot of opportunities for spot-the-guest-star. And if you watched Harper's Island, it's awesome for playing Six Degrees.

Dean as the authoritative older brother and Sam as the snarly, resentful younger brother is so in your face in Dead in the Water. I had forgotten.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

But then you get Dean connecting with Lucas--first watch of DitW is what hooked me on the series, because of the snarly and the authoratative, and then Sam zapping Dean with, "Name five children you even know." Which was a level of affection and I know you better than you know yourself even as it was a little brother put-down. And Dean didn't protest. It was a moment of equality for me, a tiny glimpse at how their relationship worked. You had the Dean revelatory "I saw something bad happen to my mom, and I didn't want to talk for a while, either," which is the only canon we have for a zillion fanfics in which wee!Dean is mute for weeks/months/ever. And we have Sam lurking outside Lucas' door, learning something he never knew about the brother he knows everything about.

Plus, of course, Manners' first directorial episode, and the money shot.

Gods, I love Season one!

Well, it's mentioned in the official grey canon stuff. [link]

So not the ONLY canon!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So I hear they changed the music in syndication? What's up with that!

That's a locked entry, PC.

Because books.

She must have just locked it, because I clicked and read it right after P-C posted.

I feel stupid because I've watched all three and honestly didn't notice any changes.

Most of the music I remember from the first two was music I recognised--was it other recognisable music she's saying they swopped out?

Because books.

Yeah, she's saying today, for instance, "Too Daze Gone" wasn't playing in the car when Dean says they don't have to hug, do they? I ... didn't notice.
