Since it can't be anyone they met while Dean was wearing the amulet they've severely limited retconnability. Unless he got a face transplant too and is running around looking like Ellen.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I think Sam as the Impala is my all-time favorite moment on the show.
And then Sam stepping out and rubbing his ass...
Have you ever seen Jim Carrey (on Letterman, I think, is where I saw it) do his Caruso impression? I swear, JP was doing Carrey doing Caruso. JA was more straight on Caruso. Possibly I watch too much (err, any) CSI: Miami to be able to come to that conclusion.
Hell, I even switched over to Grey's during the ad breaks. Bacic needs to work there. Stat!
Was it Letterman or Conan? Either way, I agree.
I've never seen that, but JP was definitely doing a broader impersonation than JA.
I also loved the goofy sitcom smiles and fake har-dee-hars during the opening credits.
Is anybody getting the Supernatural title card after the opening teaser, with the blood in the water animation? This is like the third or so episode I've watched that never showed the title card. It's a little unsettling, since they've always used it, and they went to the trouble and expense of having a new one made as usual this year.
Well, they had special credits this time, but I've been getting it otherwise.
Anne and I were just lamenting at lunch Thursday the significance of the Trickster as a demigod and other possibilities in the SPN pantheon. Well, that answered that question. ;-)
Loved the episode. Loved the reveal about the Trickster/Gabriel. Loved the role reversal where it was Dean serving up a teachable moment to Trickster/Gabriel rather than the other way around. Dean's message certainly carried more meaning than anything the Trickster had presented.
What I'm struck by most is the mounting evidence that angels are not as void of emotion as Cas led us to believe last season. They all seem to be as flawed, controlling and neurotic as humans.

I just checked my torrents. All the of the episodes have the title card except for last night's.
It was Letterman I was thinking of. I am so not a Carrey fan, but I'll watch just about anybody mock Caruso.
